We’ve known Terraria was coming to the Wii U and 3DS, even before it was announced. Now we know when it will. Thanks to 505 Games the game will be arriving in stores early next year.

The Nintendo 3DS version is fitted out with 4 player local play, the Wii U version has four play split screen as well as 8 player online modes.

“Both the 3DS and Wii U versions will feature intuitive touchscreen controls, allowing Terrarians to reach directly into the world for the very first time to fashion elaborate structures and fight off enemies with fingertip & stylus control, The Wii U and 3DS versions of Terraria offer the ideal introduction to the franchise for the young and old player alike – and a fresh way to play for veterans of the franchise.”

The game is due out in ‘early 2016’. God knows why it’s going to take that long but here we are.
