Wii U owners without this are in for a treat.

If you’ve been holding off on Namco Bandai’s Tank! Tank! Tank!, you’ll be pleased to hear the PAL version is following in Japan’s footsteps and going free to play.

Nintendo will now offer the Wii U launch title for free on the eShop.

Wii U owners in Europe are currently able to download the free ‘basic’ pack which includes three game modes.

They are Monster Battle, Free-For-All and Team Versus, and will limit players to three sessions each, per day.

The experience can be enhanced by paying additional fees for up to ten DLC packs which include extra levels, modes, and also remove F2P restrictions.

TTT DLC is currently available in the UK for £1.59 (AU$2.42) per pack for a limited time, with prices increasing to £7.99 (AU$12.27) after this period.

With any luck, Aussie Wii U owners will hopefully be able to download the free ‘basic’ pack later this week and also receive similar pricing to the UK for the game’s DLC.

I’ve been writing about video games since 2006 and playing them since I was a kid. I started out with a copy of Mario & Yoshi on the Game Boy and before I knew it was in debt to Tom Nook. These days I spend much of my time trawling the eShop for the latest downloadable hit.
