It wouldn’t be a new Nintendo console without questions about the third party support it may or may not receive going forward. We’ve seen some great support so far from some companies, and little from others. Who knows how it’ll end up, hopefully not like the Wii U.
It’s good news today however with head of Take-Two Interactive, Strauss Zelnick promising ‘long form’ support for the Switch. He had this to say in a new interview;
We’re excited about Switch we’re supporting Switch with NBA 2K18, we’ve said we’re supporting it long form. We’ve said over and over again that when Nintendo comes to market you never want to count them out. So we’re excited about it, but the only thing we can announce is the basketball title.
This kind of talk from third parties wouldn’t be unprecedented, but at least there might be something on the way in addition to NBA 2K.
STALKER, Clock Tower, Shadows of the Damned, and more.
