Switch 2 Edition game upgrades will let you enhance your existing games – for a fee

The Switch 2 has a whole new host of capabilities and with the Switch originals games being compatible with this new version we’re happy to see that some of them are taking full advantage of the new features.
Several games including Mario Party Jamboree, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and Pokémon Legends Z-A.
Worry not though as instead of having to purchase the games again all that’s needed is an upgrade purchase. There’s no word yet on how much these upgrades will cost, but some upgrades – like those for the Zelda games – will be offered at no additional cost to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.
