Nintendo has announced its first events for E3 2018 and the Splatoon 2 World Championship is back along with the Super Smash Bros. Invitational and they’ll be using the Switch version of Smash Bros.
Taking place from June 12-14 later this year, both events run alongside E3 2018. The events will be broadcast on Nintendo’s YouTube channel and Twitch.
With Nintendo confirming the use of the Switch version of Super Smash Bros., it throws up even more questions about whether its a port and more importantly, when is it coming out?

It’ll be without a doubt an “updated” version of 3DS/WiiU
If my interpretation of their wording is correct, then it looks like they’ll have a demo up during E3!
Do we dare to dream that this is a possibility?
My Body is ready. Here’s hoping for another H-BOX and Zero Showdown like in 2014. Please bring on the pros from Smash 4 Evo.
That first invitational was epic.
I think that is not a port and it’ll Come out in sept/oct in time for the online service, so I reckon by June it’ll be near complete enough for it to be there a hands on demo at e3. Hype!
