Super Smash Bros. for Wii U sells 490,000 copies over three days in US
Nintendo of America has some good news to share regarding sales of Super Smash Bros. in the US.
Over a three day period from November 21st to 23rd the game has now sold 490,000 copies (both digitally and physical) making it the fastest selling Wii U title, snatching the throne from Mario Kart 8. To compare the Nintendo 3DS version of the game shifted 705,000 units in just two days, the 3DS however has a much much larger install base of course but this Wii U figure is impressive.
This is great news for the Wii U of course, Mario Kart 8 moved a ton of hardware when it was released and Nintendo will be hoping Smash does the same again.
This week Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will move from its current total of 0 copies outside of the US and hopefully make the sales tick over a magic million. Three days to go!
