Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS has day one patch in Japan, adds new online mode Conquest

We won't need to do it though.

It isn’t even out yet and there is already a patch on the way for the Nintendo 3DS version of Super Smash Bros.

When it hit stores in Japan tomorrow the game will require and update to not only play the game online but will download an entirely new mode for the game. The eShop version will have the patch already and no doubt we’ll have it already as well when we get the game.

The game mode won’t turn on until 3pm on September 15th for Japanese players, presumably to give people time to practise. Conquest will trigger sometimes when you play game online. Each win then add points to a certain character and eventually when enough points are collected the players who play with that character will get some prizes.
