Super Mario themed UNO cards coming to Japan

Not the first Nintendo UNO cards funnily enough.

Nintendo’s efforts to licence out more of its properties to other companies have come to fruition in the form of Super Mario UNO cards. These aren’t the first Nintendo themed UNO cards that Nintendo have created, the previous series were more ‘Nintendo’ themed and featured 3D CG renders of characters. These cards have more traditional artwork and are simply ‘Super Mario’ themed.

They will be released in Japan on June 18th for 1,296 Yen or about $16. The Amazon.co.jp listing for them features both English and Japanese artwork, so it’s likely we’ll see these cards locally soon.
