Super Mario Run is built on the Unity Engine

It’s got a lot of fans and a lot of haters but there’s one thing we can all agree on – the Unity engine is pretty robust.
So robust it can run Pokémon Go, that crap 3-match puzzler your system plays and sends your Mum broke and more. The news was announced via the official Unity Twitter account as a sort of humble brag, and why wouldn’t you – you nabbed Mario!
With Nintendo usually creating it’s own engine (and hardware) for games it’s not strange to see them use Unity for mobile games.

And Unity support for Nintendo systems, would be interesting to see it come to the Switch.
