Super Mario Maker update adds tons of new features

There’s a big Super Mario Maker update and it’s going to change the game in a big way. There’s a bunch of new tools being added to the game which should make for some even more interesting levels.

Once the update is released you’ll be able to add Keys and Key Doors to the game. You’ll also be able to make enemies hold keys so they can act as bosses. You can hide a key behind pink coins, all of these will need to be collected for the door to appear.

Thwomps are cool, but Spike Pillars are even cooler. You’ll be able to make these appear from the top of the screen or either side.

Other new additions include a Super Expert mode for the 100-Mario Challenge, you’ll need to finish Expert Mode first though to get it. There’s also 12 new Mystery Mushroom costumes added, no doubt for some amiibo.
