Super Mario Maker gets new update as Miiverse closes

Miiverse has closed and with the integration and support within a number of 3DS and Wii U titles. The biggest among them is Super Mario Maker with its commenting features via the service.

Nintendo has released an update for both versions of the game which removes these features and giving the game a dose of stabilisation.

Here are the patch notes for each version;

Super Mario Maker (Wii U);

– Accompanying the ending of the Miiverse service, new comments can no longer be added and existing comments can no longer be viewed on uploaded courses. Courses can still be uploaded, played, and evaluated.

– A number of issues have been fixed to make for a pleasant playing experience.
