Nintendo announces two classic Game Boy games for the eShop and more

Along with it’s usual assortment of retail release date, Nintendo Europe has announced a swag of new titles that will be heading to the eShop from now until the end of the year. Thanks to the double edged sword of sharing the store with Europe, we will be getting these games here in Australia at the same time, the Nintendo ones at least.

The two big titles, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins and Metroid II: Return of Samus have a very unspecific Q4 2011 release date, but at least we know they’ll be coming this year.

Also announced for release on the 3DS Virtual Console is Gargoyle’s Quest on the 25th of August, Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge on the 15th of September, 3D Classics TwinBee on the 22nd of September. Other titles including Mutant Mudds, Mighty Switch Force and Zen Pinball 3D were given more vague release dates of sometime later this year.

Be sure to stay tuned to Vooks every Thursday night for eShop, DSiWare and WiiWare update.
