On some sort of Mario Kart spree, Nintendo Europe also announced via Twitter that Super Mario Kart, the game that started it all, is heading to Virtual Console on the Wii U on the 27th of March in Europe. Hopefully we can assume it will arrive in Australia that night during our own eShop updates.
Nintendo UK is running a promotion and we’ll try to confirm its running here. However, if you buy Super Mario Kart on the Wii U eShop it will give you £5.49 off the cost of Mario Kart 8 digitally. Naturally you have to buy them on the same Wii U.
This is the game that started the Mario Kart series, with most of our favourite characters here, and many mechanics and items we never did see again. How many of you started your Mario Kart addiction here?
More than 450 games added this final week.
What a year.
Gotta go fast.
