Super Mario Galaxy 2 controls easier says Miyamoto

The controls may be easier but the difficulty is higher

Good news for those who found Super Mario Galaxy’s controls hard (all three of you) Miyamoto has revealed in a new interview that Super Mario Galaxy 2’s controls are much easier and will allow novices to jump into the game easier. "Novice players often have a hard time getting a grip on how to control their character freely in the 3D world," Shigeru Miyamoto has told CVG. "Im always trying to improve the system so that whenever we are working on a new 3D action game like Mario Galaxy 2, its my dream to come up with the perfect control mechanism, so that people can use it intuitively and naturally be able to play around in the world very freely”. What exactly this entails remains to be seen.

However since the controls this time around are easier it doesn’t mean the game is. Miyamoto says “We have to admit that this difficulty level of Galaxy 2 is rather high because it has been made specifically for the people who have finished Galaxy 1”.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 is due for release in Australia, we just dont know when yet.
