Nintendos revealed a collection of Classic Super Mario games for Wii

Nintendo Japan has released some new release dates for a bunch of games in Japan but  the biggest news of all is the announcement of Super Mario Collection.

The game is set to contain the All Stars (SNES) versions of Super Mario Bros 1, Super Mario Bros 2 (USA version in Japan), Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario Bros The Lost Levels (Super Mario Bros 2 over there). We’re still trying to confirm if Super Mario World is being included.

The collection also comes with a Super Mario history booklet covering the 25 year history of Mario games and a soundtrack. It is out on October 21st for 2500yen, which is very cheap. There will only be a limited print run of the game for 2010.

Nintendo registered the trademark for Super Mario Collection over a year ago.

Also announced was the Japanese release date for Kirby’s Epic Yarn on the 14th of October and Golden Sun: Dark Dawn for the 28th of October.
