We're excited.

The soundtracks to both Super Mario Galaxy and its sequel are some of the best music we’ve received out of Nintendo ever. Going back to midi-tunes in Mario titles since just hasn’t been the same.

Now with Super Mario 3D World the orchestrated tracks are back, at least in the most part.

Speaking in a new interview, lead composer on the game Mahito Yokota has confirmed the game does indeed have orchestrated tracks.
There are naturally a lot of tracks performed live. We’re arranging the music with a big-band feel, taking advantage of a full horn section with trumpets and saxophones.
He seems excited and so are we.

Super Mario 3D World is out in Australia on November 30th.
