Legendary Japanese developer Sunsoft have been resurrected in the west after a 10-year absence, and theyve brought their NES classic Blaster Master with them Assisted by new publisher Gaijinworks, Sunsoft will be releasing the original Blaster Master ...
Assisted by new publisher Gaijinworks, Sunsoft will be releasing the original Blaster Master on NES from 1988 on the Wii’s Virtual Console service. The game might not be much to look at now, but was pivotal in the evolution of the side-scrolling action platformer genre. Due later in December, the game will sell for 500 points in North American, with an Australian release likely to come early next year.
It looks likely that Sunsoft will return to producing original content, as the developers have stated that” additional titles coming to the US market will be announced, many of which will surprise and delight gaming fans”. That could mean anything, but we predict a healthy dose of retro-styled games will dominate their coming line-up.
