There’s a bunch of great eShop games coming before the year is out and Image & Form’s SteamWorld Heist will be one of the first of them.

SteamWorld Heist will be released on the 3DS eShop on December 10th. Well for most of the world, in Australia we’ll get it on December 11th at 1:00am AEDT, that’s the standard time on Thursday/Friday for the weekly updates.

Image & Form also announced the pricing for the game, it’ll come in at $19.99US / €19.99 / £14.99 – which should put it at well above $20AUD. We’ve asked Image & Form to confirm just how much it’ll be here.

Too pricey? Well Image & Form are offering the game instead at $16.99US / €16.99 / £11.99 until December 31st. They also say it won’t be discounted for some time after this discount period is over. If you want the game cheap, you’ll have to get it at launch.

The devs thinks that their game is worthy of the ‘higher’ price point and say that it contains at least 20 hours of gameplay and is at least 5 times bigger than Steamworld Dig was. To sweeten the deal there will also be an “exclusive Nintendo 3DS Home Menu theme” given away for as long as the game is discounted as well.

A new trailer for the game will be released on December 8th, we’ll let you know how the game is around then too with a review.
