Yosuke Matsuda, the President of Square Enix made a statement during a conversation with Trendy, a Japanese company, which when translated comes to “in addition to developing new titles for Switch, he hopes to see more of Square Enix’s existing titles get ports wherever it’s possible”
While no other details were given at that time, more details about his comments have come to light, including that he hopes more Square Enix titles can be ported to as many platforms as possible and while they are keeping their eyes on PC and mobile devices, right now Nintendo Switch is at the top of the list.
Square Enix have released I Am Setsuna here in Australia, but they also have Dragon Quest X and Dragon Quest XI in the works, as well as the interesting Project Octopath Traveller. In addition, they are also acting as a publisher for titles like Dragon Quest Heroes 1 & 2, the recently announced Seiken Densetsu Collection and Minna de Wai Wai! Spelunker, which now has a demo on the Japanese eShop.
