Square Enix are crafting an all new RPG

The track record of new studios to new games is good news for all

Square Enix have opened up a new studio in Tokyo, which aims to create all new rpg’s, the first of these title is currently called Project Prelude Rune. Studio Istolia is being headed up by Hideo Baba, who has over 18 years experience in video game development.

Hideo Baba is working as the producer of “Project Prelude Rune” as well. The project aims to build a new RPG with a new fantasy: unfolding across a vast land teeming with life. Nurtured by the earth, the many peoples of this land dare to dream, fighting for what is just—and this is their tale. While no confirmed platforms or release window have been announced, with Square Enix supporting Nintendo 3DS so strongly and coming out strong for Nintendo Switch, we can hope this new title joins them.
