Splatoon 2 debuts at number 2 in Australia
In what can only be considered good news, Splatoon 2 appears to be off to a great start here in Australia and across the way in New Zealand. Both countries saw the game hit number one on the Switch specific charts, but in the multiplatform listings the game ranked a little lower.
Here in Australia, Splatoon 2 debuted on Friday July 21st and in just two days, it took second position on the list, however the more amazing part is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is sitting at number 7, it seems when a great game is released, people will invest.

So Splatoon 2 is off to a great start and with Nintendo promising content for at least the next 12 months, things can only go up from here. Did you pick up the game yet and if you did, what do you think?
Considering the switch as a very install base compared to PS4XB1 it has done very well to be ranked 2nd.
Wow, Crash is also top of the UK charts too! Here’s hoping it comes to switch someday
Two days for 2nd place behind the Crash juggernaut is great for Splatoon. Haven’t been able to put too much time into it yet but I’m really enjoying it so far. Put me down for another who would love to see Crash on the Switch.
wtf is Prey doing at No. 4 though? Thought the game sold terribly. Doing alright in Aus it seems. Maybe it’s on sale?
Why is GTA V still on the charts?
I wonder how many people made the purchase thinking they could local multiplay like the wiiU version?
Huge oversight from Nintendo, and a slap in the face for families.
Who’s going to fork out for multiple consoles/ software?
