Special Edition Pikachu Nintendo 3DS XL confirmed for America

The Pikachu themed Nintendo 3DS XL is coming to North America in just 10 days. The yellow and white coloured console will be released on March 24th. Quantities are said to be limited.
The special edition 3DS XL was released in Japan and Europe last year. The system comes out on the same day as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity.
We’ll be checking with Nintendo Australia to see if we’re going to get the console here, but remember if you’re really keen on it you could just import it. Keep in mind the system is region locked.

There are no issues importing this one from the UK since we’re both under the PAL region lock.
Australian copies of games will work on 3DSs from Europe, as well as EU games on our 3DSs here.
Even if Australia does get it, we’ll be slugged with the Aussie tax. I think it might be just better to import it from Europe. But even then, Nintendo AU should step it up. C’mon, if you’re a separate regional subsidiary of Nintendo, show it to us!
