SEGA has just announced pricing and dates for our favourite speedy mammal, Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 will be released on WiiWare on October the 15th for the price of 1500 points. Other platforms will be receiving the game at different times; check the link for details.
SEGA has not detailed their plans for the further episodes in the series. However, the publisher has said that the delay has allowed the developer, Osaka-based Dimps, to further polish the game to Sonic’s standards (please, gentlemen). Fan feedback has obviously factored into this, judging by recent gameplay videos.
It is also worth noting that Dimps has worked on Sonic games before. The Sonic Advance trilogy, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush: Adventure and the day time sections of Sonic Unleashed for the Wii have all come from the talented developer, who also brought fighting game enthusiasts the excellent Street Fighter IV series, so we think theres no need for concern over the quality of this upcoming game.
