Sonic nerfed for the Olympics

Ever wondered how Mario could possibly compete with Sonic in a running race? Well, according to CVG, Sonics speed is going to be severely lowered. Much akin to Mario Kart, different characters will have different attributes. Mario and Luigi are good all rounders while Sonic is extremely fast, but his acceleration is rather slow, but in the end it all comes down to how you play, much like Mario Kart. A Mario Kart style playing field with several Olympic sports replacing the racing? Sounds good to me. Source: CVG
