Sonic Mania will come to Switch same day, same price as other versions

There’s been a lot said about a so-called ‘Switch Tax’ with third party games on the Nintendo Switch. We’ve seen other games not only come in late, but also $10 or $20 more expensive than other versions of the same game on other consoles.

Whatever the cause, least we won’t have to worry about the problem with Sonic Mania.

Speaking to Nintendo World Report at PAX East, Sega’s Aaron Webber has confirmed that Sonic Mania will come to the Switch on the same day as the other consoles and for the same price. Hopefully this applies to all regions.

While that’s good news itself, what makes this entire thing sadder funnier  is that both RiME and Sonic Mania are actually being ported by the same company, but with obviously two different publishers.
