Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric receives huge 1.1GB patch

Can't patch in dignity.

Released late last year the Wii U exclusive Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric was released in a terrible fashion with many many game breaking bugs in the game. Never mind that the game itself was a bit naff this thing was broken.

Now a few months later the game has received a patch, a 1.1GB patch in fact and just like how Sega dealt with the fallout from the games release they didn’t say a damn thing about this patch either.

The fans at Sonic Stadium have pieced together just what’s been fixed in the game and most of the major glitches like the Knuckles Infinite Jump and escaping of the level boundaries are no more.

The games frame-rate has also been improved and lighting and shadow improvements are featured as well. One feature added in the patch is navigational arrows to tell you where to go, a great addition except sometimes it makes you miss items you need to advance in the game.

Oops, maybe that will get fixed in the next gigabyte update?
