It might the 25th Anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog this year but it might be even later into 2016 to get fresh Sonic action.

This news comes from the Tomy New York Toy fair and gives possibly an update as to the whereabouts of Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice for the Nintendo 3DS. According to the poster at the booth the game won’t be out until closer to the holidays, it was meant to be out last year – something is amiss at the old Sonic house.

The release date for Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympic Games on the Wii U also features on the poster at the booth, it’s been missing in action for some time but should this information prove correct we should be seeing the game in June.

We doubt these are the only two games coming this year in Sonic land, given then 25th Anniversary but for now that’s all we have to go off.
