Smash Bros: Luigi joins the battle!

The Year of Luigi continues

In quite possibly one of the most unsurprising news stories to come out of the Nintendo Direct, Iwata showed off some brand new screenshots from the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U.

In the screenshots, and in accordance with the Year Of Luigi, Luigi himself can be seen battling with previously announced characters, including Megaman and the Wii Fit Trainer. But here’s his official artwork for Super Smash Bros. in the meantime.

Screenshots do little to suggest that Luigi’s moveset has changed much from previous games, but that’s all we’ve got to go on now.

Would you like to see some changes in his moveset in the near future (Luigi’s Mansion, anyone?)
