After weeks of rumours, Skylanders SuperChargers has finally been announced. This years game will focus on characters piloting vehicles and of course toys that match.
Skylanders SuperChargers has a brand new class of Skylanders called SuperChargers who have completely different moves and weapons. These SuperChargers unlock other special in-game abilities to help in the fight against Kaos. There will be twenty new SuperChargers toys and 20 new vehicle toys. Skylanders SuperChargers features the classic on-foot adventure as well as now flying, driving and piloting craft over the water.
The ultimate goal is to pair a SuperCharger Skylander with its own vehicle to unlock a SuperCharged combination. This will ‘rev up’ the performance of both the car and the Skylander in question. The cars also work as toy cars outside the game.
Skylanders SuperChargers supports all 300+ Skylander toys from the previous game, you’ll be able to make any previous Skylander now pilot any land, sea or sky-based vehicles however you’ll need to buy another new Starter Pack this year as they have redesigned the portal.
Skylanders SuperChargers is in development for all major console including the Wii U. There will also be a version for the 3DS and the Wii however these will be different to the main game, in what way we don’t know yet.
Prepare your wallet for September 24th, that’s when the game is out Australia and New Zealand.
