SimCity title for Wii U cancelled by EA surfaces, cancelled in 2011
When EA abandoned Wii U game development early on in the consoles life it hurt, now we know that they had planned a SimCity game for the console it hurts just a little bit more.
Unseen64 has uncovered the games existence through some research and a SimCity game was not only just due for the Wii U but the PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. The game never got beyond a prototype, but the thought was there. It was cancelled in 2011.
No reason was given as to why they never went forward but we can guess it has something to do with the Wii U.
Shame EA even removed the SNES version of the game from the Virtual Console, it was quite good too.
This just in – EA was working on a Sim City game for consoles – PS3, 360 and Wii U. Cancelled in October 2011.

The game was prototyped, but EA decided not to move forward with it. It would have been released alongside the 2013 game.
