Years in the making, and after much waiting, Shovel Knight: King of Cards finally has a firm release date.
After previously announcing a vague “December” launch window, Yacht Club Games has announced today that Shovel Knight: King of Cards will be releasing on the Switch, 3DS, and Wii U on the 10th of December, just a few short weeks from now. December 10 will also see the release of brawler Shovel Knight Showdown for the Switch and Wii U, but not for 3DS, and the long-awaited release of the Shovel Knight Treasure Trove amiibo 3-pack, which features amiibo for Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King Knight.
Both King of Cards and Showdown will be available both as a free update to Treasure Trove, and as a standalone purchase. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is also set to receive a physical release — again, on December 10 — though it’s currently unknown if that date pertains to Australia, too.
Those interested in the Gold Shovel Knight amiibo are out of luck, though — no Aussie release has been announced for that yet.
Definitively done with the Wii U now.
Because Gate Rune and Dunan Unification War is too long to fit in a title.
