Shovel Knight: King of Cards, Showdown, amiibo and more dated

Yacht Club Games is intent on delivering the absolute most out of Shovel Knight and it’s going to continue into 2019.

Earlier this week Shovel Knight: Showdown was revealed, a multiplayer battle mode for Shovel Knight, now they’ve also revealed when Shovel Knight: King of Cards will arrive. King of Cards is the third and final story expansion for the game. Both of those additions to the game will be released on April 9th – in 2019. You can buy Shovel Knight Showdown separately if you don’t want the Treasure Trove.

But wait, there’s more! Not only will those expansions come out that day but the Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove which contains everything Shovel Knight so far will be released to stores on that date.

Finally on April 9th will see the release of the Plague Knight, Specter Knight, and King Knight triple pack amiibo will be released as well. Phew.

IGN has the exclusive, check it our their Showdown coverage here, King of Cards here.

Please let the treasure trove 2019 edition be a physical release too 🙂

Are you kidding me, another 9 months. It was meant to be release in Q1 2018 and i can understand if it gets pushed a month or two back but this is just getting ridiculous. I love shovel knight and everything but i am starting to lose faith in Yacht Club. They better be adding absolutely massive and amazing.

This is pretty neat. Whilst I liked the original Shovel Knight, I never did go back and try the other DLC.
Will definitely have to pick up a copy for my Switch.
