Also works with Sun and Moon
Australia has a complicated history with event Pokemon distributions, and despite fears the latest one would skip the country entirely, it looks like EB Games has pulled through.
Starting from today, EB Games customers will be able to receive a code for a Shiny Solgaleo or Lunala, the Legendary Pokemon featured on the box of Pokemon Sun and Moon, respectively, which can be redeemed by any 3DS generation 7 game. That means it’s available for Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon, Sun, and Moon, with Sun and Ultra Sun getting the Moon mascot Lunala and Moon and Ultra Moon getting the Sun mascot Solgaleo.
The event was previously announced for some parts of Europe, the US, and Japan, but details for its Australian distribution had remained elusive until today. EB Games still hasn’t officially announced the promotion, but it has been confirmed by Vooks community moderator and friend of the site Samuel Schultz.
The codes — which is likely the last distribution we’ll see for generation 7 — will be available on printed receipts, not cards like some previous distributions, but a purchase is not necessary. It also seems that codes are not limited to one-per-person, but your mileage may vary depending on the staff at your local EB Games.
It’s not currently known when the event will end, so be sure to get in soon.
