A minor update for Pokemon Go went live over the weekend and as usual it had some ‘text fixes’, well that’s what the changelog said anyway.
However the super sleuths at The Silph Road have dug into the update and found some juicy updates that could be on the way.
There’s now data values for both ‘default’ and ‘shiny’ Pokemon. Shiny Pokemon of course only appear very rarely in the the traditional games, we’d expect it to play out the same way here.
The other big hidden change is that Ditto is now officially in the game or at least all the bits required to have him in there are. His moves, background image and sound effect have been added and there’s even a new effect added like a spotlight which could be the way it transforms.
With the groundwork laid in these updates it’s possible that some of the changes above could be turned on server side or we’ll be waiting for the next big app update.
Magnets, always with the magnets.
