Shigeru Miyamoto’s Pikmin short film will finally debut
Miyamoto is making a Pikmin short film? Yeah we had forgotten as well.
In March last year it was announced that Shigeru Miyamoto was working on a set of short films about Pikmin and they were to be released alongside Pikmin 3. Which is something that never happened obviously.
Now in October the three short animated films will be premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Titled The Night Juicer, Treasures In A Bottle and Occupational Hazards, the three films will each show the intimate insides of the bottom of the garden in a drama filled political thriller. Just kidding, the first one is actually about juicing Pikmin and putting them into a blender.
That’s really dark.
Miyamoto will be at the festival and give a presentation along with the showing of the movies. Hopefully we won’t have to fly to Japan just to watch them and we’ll see them on the eShop or Youtube at some time.
