Satoru Iwatas comments on DS successor misinterpreted
A Nintendo spokesperson seems to claim that reports of the new DS features were made up
Last week, we brought you news that Nintendo CEO, Satoru Iwata, had confirmed the next iteration of the DS would have a high-resolution screen and motion sensing. A Nintendo spokesperson responded today, denying the comments Iwata had made in an interview with Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun.
"Mr. Iwata did not make any comments regarding the functions of Nintendos future hardware systems," said Charlie Scibetta, Nintendo of Americas senior director of corporate communications. "The answer to the reporters question was misinterpreted."
It looks like either Iwata accidentally spilled some information, or the newspaper article itself was actually incorrect. When Nintendo was asked to clarify Iwata’s comments, naturally, they refused to comment. What do you think?
