Miyamoto still to attend.

Last year Nintendo President Satoru Iwata skipped E3 due to health reasons, this year thankfully he’s well but he still won’t be in Los Angeles next month.

Speaking to IGN, Nintendo has made a statement about just who actually will be there. Hint: It’s Miyamoto.

Nintendo’s focus for E3 this year will be showcasing the many games we have coming for both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Mr. Miyamoto and other members of our development team will be in Los Angeles to explain these games and the unique experiences that each offers. Mr. Iwata’s focus in this period will be on other areas of our business that require his presence in Japan.

While Iwata wasn’t on the floor at E3 last year it really didn’t matter. He featured in the Nintendo Digital Event presentation in a big way which is what most fans will see.

We’re sure the people actually going to E3 will have a ton of other stuff to see as well. Bastards.
