Earlier this year there were reports that Netflix was in talks to develop a live action Legend of Zelda TV series.
Nintendo hasn’t commented on the report since, until now. Speaking to Time Magazine, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has squashed the report saying that the rumours are inaccurate.
“As of now, I have nothing new to share with you in regard to the use of our IPs for any TV shows or films, but I can at least confirm that the article in question is not based on correct information,” he told the magazine.
Well it was a nice idea, or perhaps its just delicious subterfuge by Iwata.
