Satoru Iwata comments on Digital Event feedback, what did you think?

This morning’s Digital Event by Nintendo has been met with a response ranging anywhere from tepid to boiling hot like the fiery pits of hell.
Last year’s event was met with widespread praise, this year Nintendo haven’t been so lucky. Nintendo’s president might not be at the event but he’s been hearing your complaints and has tweeted on the matter.
Thank you for watching. We take opinions of this year’s Digital Event seriously and will work to better meet your expectations.
So what went wrong, what went right, is everyone over reacting and not focusing on the good games that were shown – even if they weren’t all new.
Let us know in the comments, remember Iwata is reading!

I’m so done with internet “outrage”, I don’t care anymore. I thought the Digital Event was fine, neither worse nor better than last years.
Other than the “Metroid Prime” announcement, of course…
I think the direct would’ve been more surprising if it weren’t for the leaked Hyrule Warriors 3DS and those Amiibo images. There were some pleasant surprises which were good, but they didn’t need to show off games like Xenoblade X, Fire Emblem nor M&S 2016 because they were also shown in previous Directs/are out, so it was a waste. There were only a few new games like Skylanders Supercharged (For Wii and Wii U? Wow), Mario & Luigi Paper Jam and Zelda Triforce Heroes. It’s not a lot of new content which was upsetting. Oh, and the Metroid spin off.
It was disappointing. No wow factor. It felt like a normal Nintendo Direct.
The only highlights for me: Xeno X date, SMTxFE, Fire Emblem Fates, Paper Jam.
There’s a couple of things that went wrong, specifically with the Wii U.
1. Too much of what was shown was already known
2. No surprise action title for the back end of 2015. i.e Mario Tennis doesn’t cut it.
3. It raises questions about how many more major titles the Wii U will get.
4. The usual complaints about no Metroid, no F-Zero, no new IP.
Overall the Wii U still has a solid 2015 lineup. But I worry about 2016. (Good thing I have a decent backlog of games)
Nothing interesting at all in my opinion…only games I’m looking forward to are Yoshi and Mario Maker…Zelda looks really bad…
