With around six games already announced to be included with a purchase of a ticket to Nintendo Land, many couldn’t help but notice that there was an absence of Metroid or Samus in any of the games.
Given that Nintendo have seemingly ignored Metroid and it’s illustrious 25 year anniversary, it’s nice to see that Metroid Blast has been confirmed as an outing that players can visit in Nintendo Land.
The name really leaves nothing to the imagination though – Metroid Blast takes place in the Metroid universe and allows players to team up co-operatively and take out enemies while playing as their Mii’s. While the initial screens don’t show Ms. Aran in action, we’re sure (and hoping) that she will appear.
Nintendo Land, which now features seven games to play, has yet to be confirmed as a pack-in, but we do know it’s coming when the Wii U launches (hopefully) later this year.
Fatal Fury 2, Super Ninja Boy, Sutte Hakkun
Star Wars: Episode I: Jedi Power Battles, ENDER MAGNOLIA, Guilty Gear -Strive-, Dance of Cards,…
From Mario to Zelda, to Splatoon to Donkey Kong. Everything on Nintendo Music.
Definitively done with the Wii U now.
