Sample classic Nintendo games with amiibo Touch & Play

There’s a new another way to get more out of your amiibo coming, it’s called amiibo Touch & Play: Nintendo Classics Highlights and will be a free download in May for the Wii U.
This new app will allow you to place an amiibo on the GamePad and unlock a 3 minute snippet of classic Nintendo games from the NES and SNES. Much like the Masterpieces section of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U no progress will save but if you like the game you can be taken to the eShop to nab the entire game.
All amiibo are compatible with the title but each character will unlock a random game. Paraphrasing Forrest Gump, Iwata said ‘It’s like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you’re going to get’.

I’m not a fan of the idea of the game being random. Unless the game was from a random selection of that characters franchise. Why would you tap a Mario Amiibo if you wanted to play a bit of Super Metroid? It just doesn’t make sense.
It’s kinda like a box of chocolates, isn’t it?
