Sakurai teases Meloetta for Smash Bros.
Series director Masahiro Sakurai has been up to his usual tricks overnight, posting a screenshot of the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros. overnight. What’s interesting, however, is who is in it. Posted on the Miiverse as the daily screeenshot from the game, Sakurai attached the following comment: –
Remember the video that introduced Greninja joining the battle? Every Pokémon that appeared in that video will make some kind of appearance in Super Smash Bros! By the way, here’s one of the Pokémon that didn’t make an appearance in that video–Meloetta. Its vocal attacks reflect off land forms, so they’ll be especially effective in a closed environment.
It’s worth noting that this doesn’t mean Meloetta is a playable character, she may just be an assist trophy or Pokemon character from the very popular Pokeball item. This writer thinks it’ll be the latter.
We’re sure we’ll hear more about the game in the next few days at E3. So stay tuned.
definately think it would be a pokeball, not popular enough I think to be a playable character
I actually wouldn’t mind Meloetta as a playable character. I’d prefer her over Greninja. I’d rather fight as Togekiss and/or Hydreigon though.
