So far, it seems the moon will only shine in Italy

Namco Bandai Games Europe have today announced that a new Sailor Moon game for the Nintendo DS system will be releasing sometime in 2011. The catch? So far it’s only confirmed for Italy. Yeah, we’re not quite sure either.

Sailor Moon: La Luna Splende (The Shining Moon for those who are up with their Italian) will presumable be based on the second series of the anime series, who fans might know as the "Black Moon" arc. La Luna Splende will have players stepping into the colour co-ordinated shoes of the original five Sailor Scouts; Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus as they battle their way through three worlds consisting of between 20-30 stages.

No words have been given yet if the title will release outside of Italy nor if the game will support any additional functionality. Sailor Moon: La Luna Splende is due out in Italy so far during Spring 2011. We will let you know if we hear more on the matter.
