Rumour Fail: The Star Fox and Metroid Crossover Isn’t Real

It has been a crazy few months with tons of rumours and fake news about the Wii U circulating. Last week it went crazy-levels with the Paul Gale Network posting a rumour about a possible upcoming Star Fox and Metroid crossover title developed by Retro Studios.

So that’s not actually happening as it turns out, not that many people actually thought it was.

In a new post, Paul Gale has retracted his statement saying that “This game is not what Retro Studios is currently working on and it will not make an appearance at E3 next week.”

Rumour debunked then. Just remember folks we’re about 5 days away from Nintendo’s E3 conference. Let’s just hold on a little while longer.

I think I am actually a little dissapointed that it isn’t real. I’m not really a fan of either franchise but a crossover game would have definitely had my interest. Still, what a good rumour to have floating around.
