Rumour: Australian Wii U Release Date Revealed?

Time to put on your tin foil hats, grab a pinch of salt or whatever other skeptical rituals people do because it’s rumour time. This time it’s the Wii U release date for Australia, the 50% left of everything else we need to know about the console. The other one being the price of course.

According to a report by Kotaku AU today, they’ve received a tip that the console is set to be released on December 6^th 2012, which makes sense, its Nintendo’s typical Thursday release date and the Wii was released on December 7^th 2006. It sounds right.

The date also makes sense, Nintendo America will likely release the console in late November to coincide with the Thanksgiving holiday, Nintendo Japan will be about the same time and Europe.. Well who knows what goes on over there? A December 6^th release date makes perfect.

Then again we know Nintendo Australia have been mixing it up with release dates lately, releasing things on the weekend and all sorts of other crazy stuff.

So who knows? We await word.
