Ron Gilbert’s The Cave heading to the Wii U eShop as well

PAX Prime has been the little treasure trove so far for little surprises and this one involves Ron Gilbert and his latest game The Cave. It’s been revealed at the event that the game will be coming to the Wii U eShop as well as the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.

The game is a platformer/adventure title in the style of ‘Metroidvania’. You’ll have to pick the best three characters out of choice of seven to get all the puzzles solved and get out of ‘The Cave’.

Ron Gilbert is of course the genius behind the The Secret of Monkey Island, Maniac Mansion and many other Lucasarts adventure titles.

There’s no word yet as to what Wii U features the game will have or when it’ll be released, but it’s another good title we can expect on the Wii U eShop whenever that launches as well.
