Rime slips from Winter to Q3 for its Switch release
Five Star Games, the local company that helps bring lots of your favourite games to Australia is the local distributor for Rime and with their latest product release schedule, it has been noted that Rime is coming to Switch in Q3, previously all we had was Winter.
The game is launching at the end of May for other platforms, with a Winter release, we could have seen it anywhere from June 1st to August 31st, however now we have Q3 or Quarter 3, that kicks June off that window and shrinks it to just July or August.
Now if you are a glass half empty kind of person, you might see the window being smaller as a good thing, if however you see things with a little more caution, this just adds more of a delay to the release.
While no reason was given to why it is now listed as Q3, the game is still on track for 2017 at least. While the game was developed by Tequila Works, the Switch version is being handled by our very own Tantalus in Melbourne.
Another kick in the guts for the Switch, while it’s not a long delay, it’s a shame that it couldn’t come out sooner to fill in Switch’s lacklustre schedule
I don’t know, I am having fun with Lego City Undercover and Snake Pass is a treat as well, so there is plenty to play right now.
“Quarter 3, that kicks June off that window and shrinks it to just July or August.” Q3 runs July through September, so this hasn’t shrunk the release date, it’s possibly extended it by a further month.
Yes, that it would, however they had also previously announced Winter, so if you combine the two, you get July and August.
