With Off TV Play for singleplayer and co-operative play.

Out of nowhere, Warner Bros has announced that LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes is coming to the Wii U. The game will be released sometime before the middle of the year. That means it is coming to the Wii U almost a full year after it was released on every other console in 2012. It’s not even the newest LEGO game, that would be the Lord of the Rings installment.

However the game is coming with some great features specific to the Wii U version. There’s the typical interactive map on the GamePad screen but more interesting and useful is the ability to play co-operative with one person on the TV and the other on the GamePad. If you’re playing by yourself though you can play the entire game on the GamePad as well.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes not only features Batman, Robin and the Joker but also other DC properties including Superman and villains Lex Luthor, The Penguin and Harley Quinn.

We’ll let you know when we have a local release date for the game.
