Price drop? Maybe… but it could just be retailer fighting

It seems theres a retailer war going on in Australia right now and the winner in it could be you. Retailers EB Games and JB Hi-Fi have slashed the price of a Wii to a crazy low $199. Thats a Wii with Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort and a Wii Remote Plus. Its really quite the deal.

That price hasnt been seen with the Wii since Harvey Norman was dumping the old Wii Sports Resort-less SKU over a year ago. So is this a permanent price drop? Not likely, but it just shows how low retailers are willing to go when theyre fighting again each other.

Could this also be a preempt to a new SKU (no not a new console, just a new bundle) or an official price drop? Maybe… but if you havent got a Wii yet, it might be time to pick one up for some fun over the Easter weekend.
