More characters, more enemies and more importantly - Wii U specific features.
A press release sent out by Capcom this morning has unveiled some new information on the high definition enhanced port of Resident Evil Revelations, which we enjoyed very much on the 3DS last year.
First of all, Capcom confirmed that questionably clothed (and styled, for that matter) female agent Rachel will be playable in the multiplayer mode “Raid”. In addition to this, two new enemies have been revealed for inclusion in the game too.
The more exciting thing for Wii U owners is how Capcom are using the Wii U’s features to their best ability in Resident Evil Revelations. The game will support the GamePad or a Wii U Pro Controller as well as off-screen TV play. Unfortunately, this means that Wii Remote controls will not make the final cut as some may have been speculating. The GamePad itself, when not in off-TV play, will allow players to use their items, heal their character, view their location on the map as well as switch between weapons without ever entering a menu.
In some of the most interesting use of the MiiVerse thus far from a third party, players can also post “dying messages” during the Game Over screen for players around the world to see. In addition to this, “Creature Voices” can be posted on the MiiVerse allowing players to give a voice to creatures and during the Raid Mode.
Resident Evil Revelations has been confirmed for release in Australia on May 23rd 2013 at a recommended retail price of $59.95. The 3DS version is available right now.
Makes sense to us.
It's Black, Back Again.
